Monday March 1, 1982 Went to school all day, came home and Ron and Robert came over- Ron got an Alpine stereo for his car, it sounds good. We talked for awhile, dad came home and then mom and dad left. Bumped into Jim Kelly at school today, what bad luck! Messed around, read for a while, mom and dad went shopping and Tammy went out somewhere. Did homework, tried calling the Navy in New Orleans about Robert's newspaper article about glasses and flying for the Navy. Laura finally called at 10:17 and we talked until 11:07. She had been at her class. This is what she learned about herself: Laura is 18.2 years old.
Her Plan of Action: To avoid her titties blowing up on high altitude plane flights, she will proceed to try and loose a little off the hips to match the bust because ideally they should be the same. Hell with the weight info; she does what she wants and nothing on God's green earth will make her eat more. Exercise for the waist (beer tummy- I don't think so but she does) and the hips is her own diagnosis. I said she was foxy as is. "You sexy thing, you." After Laura's phone call I did more homework and then went to

ink. Tuesday March 2, 1982 Went to school all day, after school fell asleep when Ed Martin and two of his Natichodious friends came over. They are going to go out to eat and then to the Ozzy Osboune concert that night. Ed left, and I read Science Digest Magazine until 7:30 when dad brought home a pizza from Johmnies. Ate some more when Frank dropped by for about 30-40 minutes, looked at my magazine. Frank left and I called Laura at 9:15 P.M. and we talked until 10:30. Argued at first, then not. Got Laurie Jeter's letter in the mail today, was addressed to Phil Migroin. After talking to Laura, read Readers Digest and went to bed. Wednesday March 3, 1982 Went to school, rode bicycle home to find Laura waiting there in the Beavermobile. She had watched me pedal home. I helped her with her ACT and was finally finished by 4:00 and went into living room and talked until 4:25 when she left. Dad got home at 4:27 and mom got home at 5:00. Before mom got home, I rode my bicycle to Frank's house and got magazines and played chess and ate cookies. Did not stay long because I had asked Laura out for tonight. Rode bicycle from Frank's house to find mom and dad just leaving for the farm. I went to the bank, took a shower and picked up Laura at 6:45. We tried calling Jeter to ask if she wanted to go get a pizza with Laura and I but the phone was busy. So we left Laura's mom eating American hamburgers and went to stop by Jeter's house and found her asleep. Woke her up and she ate pizza at Johnies with us. Ate and talked, I dropped Jeter off and Laura and I could go to my house, her house, or park. She said park. We stopped at Hamels and talked awhile, took her home and talked awhile, took her home at 9:00 and got home at 9:15, about 5 mins before mom and dad came home. Read and went to sleep. Laura said she would call me tomorrow. Thursday March 4, 1982 REPORT CARDS Went to school all day, boring. Tried to get a hold of Mrs. Tharp to ask her some questions about OU, but she was busy. After school, found a note of the refrigerator that said dad was in Dallas for work. Fell asleep after school and slept until 5:30 when mom woke me up to go get dad's truck at work. We drove over there and on the way back I stopped at the flightline on base and watched the planes take off. Went home, Mr. Toloso came over and I took mom's car to the base Library and got some books (first went to Pak-A-Sak for 1 six pack of Old Milwaukee). Came home, talked to mom about OU and then Laura called at 8:15 and we talked until 10:07. Talked about a little of everything. After Laura's call, read Quasars book until 11:30, made ravioli and then went to bed. Drank 3 of the 6 beers I had bought for tomorrow night. Got report cards today, a copy of one is on the back of this page. This 4th semester I got:
Friday March 5, 1982 Didn't take a shower before school- will take one before I go out tonight. I took the truck to school, ate twice, and brought the truck home and rode the bicycle back to school. After school mom came home from commissary shopping. Fell asleep after school and woke up at 5:00 and called Frank, Paul (he was at work, gets off at 6:00) and then Laura. Jeter had to work at K-Mart until 9:30 and Frank and Marti were going to the Parkway dance. I took a shower and picked up Laura at 7:00 (after getting beer first). We went cruising and drinking. Went by Jackson square, the Parkway dance, then to my house at 8:45. We played 4 games of checkers, she won two, I won two. By then it was 11:30 and we went into my living room and watched TV. We left and I got Laura home at 12:55. Came home, the yard had been rolled (by Tammy's friends), and went to bed. Saturday March 6, 1982 Woke up early, about 7:00 but waited until mom and left at 9:30 to get out of bed. Got up and ate and took a shower and called Laura at 11:30. She was reading the paper and had woke up not to long ago. I asked her over- she had to shower, etc. Called Frank and asked him about Supervisor and Hamels. So I would pick her up at 1:00 (A little earlier - so we could see the employees cars at Hamels). Got there about 12:45 and we went to my house (Tammy had gone to first employee meeting at Hamels). We listened to the Beatles, drank beer, played checkers once (she beat me) and talked. Tammy came home and told us all about Hamels and after a while I took Laura home at about 3:30. I told her I would call her at 5:00. At 5:15 I called Laura (she had tried calling but the phone was busy- Tammy) and I would pick up Laura at 7:00. Laurie had been at work all day and wanted us to pick her up at 9:30 when she got off of work. Called Frank (after he got back from the library with Marti) and he wanted to go to the car show tonight. OK- the whole gang would go. Paul gets off work at 9:00 and would come over to my house. So I picked up Laura at 7:00- Frank wasn't coming over to my house with Marti and Daniel and Michael until 9:00 so we had some time to kill so her mom said we could stay there a while. Her mom went to a bridge game and her dad was out and Joe was out. We watched TV for about 5 minutes when Jimmy and his girlfriend came over. We left to go driving around, drank up all my supply of beer so we stopped at the Pak-A-Sak on Youree Drive and got another six pack (after getting a small coke at McDonalds for Laura) of beer and stopped at Hamels and talked and drank the beer. I stepped out to pee and Laura drove off but soon came back but I hid behind a trash can. Finally 9:00 rolled around and we went to my house. Mom and dad were still at the farm and Tammy had gone out with Russel since 7:00 (Tammy and I had traded sweaters that night). About 9:10 Frank drove up in the station wagon with Marti and Daniel and Michael. We all talked a while and finally Paul came over at 9:30. We immediately all piled into the station wagon to go pick up Laurie from work. We got there and then she said she had (Jeter) to stop home real quick. Laura peed there and Jeter did whatever she had to do and they came back out to the car and Frank said it would be kind of late to go to the car show since it ended at 11:00. We all agreed and decided to go to the bicentennial theater (even though it was cold outside). We played around there for a while, I thought I lost my wallet but Frank had it. We chased each other around, wrestled, climbed, etc, and left after about 1.3 hours there. We went to McDonalds where Paul got an ice cream cone (no one else wanted anything). Frank took everyone to my house and from there he took Marti home in the station wagon, Paul took Daniel and Michael home, and I took Laura and Laurie home. Laurie gave me the card she wouldn't show me at McDonalds- YHAGA she was in a wild and crazy mood that night. Dropped Laurie off and stopped in Laura's carport and talked for about an hour or so. She put a hickey on my neck- would get her back tomorrow. Got home about 1:00 or so and Tammy was up- she told me that Russel wore my short (special) on their date. I ate and got to bed about 2:30 or there abouts. Laura saw a wild poster on the back of my door (was a joke I pulled on Laura- got beer spilled on me too that day). Sunday March 7, 1982 Woke up, Frank came to church with us. He wanted to go to the car show definitely today and then to Jeter's farm. Came home from church, mom and dad went to the farm, took a shower, went to the BX to look for a new jacket but they didn't have any, picked up Tammy from Sunday school, went home and started to eat when Paul called at 12:30. I called Laurie Jeter- she said yes about her farm, called Laura - she didn't go to church and had just gotten out of the shower. I said I would pick her up a little after 1:00 because we had to meet Paul with Frank and Daniel and Michael at my house at 1:30. So I picked up Laurie Jeter at 1:05 and then Laura- she had just finished her bibliography. We all left for my house (after stopping to look at the scenery- she has to ask every time today if she can smoke) and wasn't there long when Paul showed up with the Mastrilli brothers. Marti had church at 4:00 and had homework so she didn't come along today. We piled into Paul and my cars and went to the car show at the Expo Hall. It cost $4.00 a person and we stayed there about 1.5 hours and me and Laura and Laurie left for the Farm while Frank and Paul stayed to get an autographed picture of the playboy bunny that was there signing pictures of herself. We got to the farm and Paul and the Mastrilli brothers were not to long behind us. We messed around, went walking quite aways and raced Frank all the way back, while Paul shot his gun in the back of the house. Then Laura, me, and Michael went up to the store for pop and munchies while the rest stayed behind. Came back and ate outside since it was warm and there was not a cloud in the sky. Jeter and Frank got in a big water fight after Jeter poured coke on me, Paul and Frank when we were wrestling in her back yard. We all left about dark and Paul took Jeter home. Took Laura home, stopped and talked in her driveway about 40 mins and got her good with a hickey. She would call me after classes tomorrow. "OK" Thought we were going to my house and take a bath earlier but I was wrong. Went home and watched "The End" on TV. Mom and dad came home at 10:00 and I told them about the car show and then went to bed. Monday March 8, 1982 Went to school (Gayle was absent) and came home and was reading when Ronnie Bowers stopped by. We talked awhile and he left and mom came home and I went to get Frank in mom's car but he wanted to eat first. I would be back to pick him up at 6:30. Went back home, messed around, took off and applied at Pizza Hut and then picked Frank up. We went to Penny's, the new big Sears in Bossier and met dad there (got some shirts and cologne) and then Frank and I went to Gibsons but Paul wasn't working that night so we dropped by his house for a few minutes and then went back to Pennys and got some shoes. Dropped Frank off at 8:30, came home and watched "The Boys In Company C" on TV until Laura called at 9:50. Dad came home at 9:40. We talked until 10:50. She had been to her class- it was about haircuts this time. I said I would try to get Parkway senior party invitations for her friends and I would call her tomorrow. Beaver class analysis reveals that she has split ends, get cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch every 46 weeks, no bangs (maybe if a little thin). Good clear almost warm day. Rob Horner called today, he said he returned the key in the mailbox. Tuesday March 9, 1982 Went to school, talked to Gayle, tried checking out for 3rd hour but gramma was not home, ate twice, got 5 more Senior Party invitations (for me and Laura, Laurie, Rob Horner, Robert Della Pietra, and Laura's friends). Got the key out of the mailbox, Terry Jostings got in a fight at school, came home and read and fell asleep and then Jim Kelly called and woke me up and then I went back to sleep. Woke up at 7:00 (mom worked late tonight and dad was shopping) and read until 8:45 when I called Laura and talked until 9:45. During that time dad, and then mom came home. Told Laura about the invitations, she was pleased and invited me over for tomorrow 7:00 - 7:15 be there. She hit me with a quote, "Some people fail to admit they have lost an argument...they just think they fail to make the other position clear." Asked her about what weekend she would be gone to Six Flags with her church. She thinks it is the March 27th weekend. After talking to Laura on the phone, made a TV dinner and went to bed. Talked to Mr. Marshall about Mrs. Barksdale today. Wednesday March 10, 1982 Woke up, mom me and grandma went to the eye doctor for an appointment at 8:30. Both eyes uncorrected is barely 20/20 but will prescribe glasses for special occassions anyway. Mom dropped me off at school in time for lunch at 11:30. Ate and went into library and then walked home. I read and then fell asleep. Mom woke me up at 5:10 and said that mom and dad were going to the farm. They left and I tried calling Robert but no one was home. Took a shower (after washing some clothes to wear) and left for Laura's house. Stopped at Thrifty and got a margaritta and then went to Robert's house to drop off his invitation to Parkway's senior party this Saturday. He was not home so I left it on his car. Went to Laura's house at 7:00 and no one was home. Went to Pak-A-Sak and called home (no one had called for me) and called Robert. This time he was home. Got another margaritta and went to Robert's house for about 20 minutes. Went back to Laura's house at 7:40. She said she had tried calling at about 5:30 to say that she had to go out and eat with her family and to come over at 7:30 - 7:45 but no one answered the phone. We went outside because her father was watching TV and we walked around the block. "Crotch diggers". Got back and got in the car until I left at about 9:40. Went to Marti's house and got notes for test tomorrow in Literature and went home and ate and read and then went to bed. Thursday March 11, 1982 1. Do past Journal work -> also data info Went to school all day, ate twice, came home and called Laura. She would be over in the Beavermobile about 7:00. Mom had come home from work early so I took her car to the bank and then to Ronnie's house and then home. Tammy had to go to work that night. I took a shower (mom and dad left for H&R block and Tammy was gone) and grandma was at church. Laura came over with Laurie and one six pack of beer and 1/2 pint of Seagrems 7. We talked a while and drank and listened to records. Mom and dad came home and then grandma and Tammy came home. Paul called at 9:00- said he would be down in a few minutes. Frank was out with Marti that night. We all went to McDonalds in Laura's car and then to Albertsons to get more Seagrems 7. Then back to my house- Laura had to pee and then we went back out in my mom's car. We went to McDonalds for ice and then to VA park for a short while. Did a little driving around and then dropped Laurie off at her house and then I took Paul and Laura to their cars at my house. Laura came in and we talked a little while (Russel was there watching TV with Tammy) and she left at 1:35 or so. Saturday March 13, 1982 Woke up with a headache about 10:30. Mom and dad had left for the farm. Messed around and read and I took Tammy to work at 12:30 and came back home and messed around some more. Laura was shopping with Laurie all day since Laurie is off all Saturday. She was off last night too. Laura called about 3:15, we talked about 15 minutes, I would pick her up at 7:00 (but she thought 7:30 - a misunderstanding). Tammy called from work, I picked her up, came home, messed around and later I was about to take a shower when Frank dropped by on his bicycle from Marti's house. Jerry still has not decided who is supervisor yet. Frank and Marti would be at my house at 9:00 tonight to go to the senior party. Took a shower and went to Laura's house. Got there at exactly 7:00 and she finally answered the door and she was the only one home and she was not ready yet (she thought 7:30). Laura's mom came home and I watched a funny cartoon on HBO while Laura got ready. We left for my house and was about to start in on the Segrems 7 when mom and dad came home. Tammy had already left for the senior party with Russel. So Laura and I sat on the tail gate of the truck talking and about an hour later Frank drove up in the station wagon with Marti, her brother Bobby, and Daniel. Laura said that Laurie had called her and that Paul was going to pick her up and that they would meet us there. So we all piled in the station wagon and went to Pak-A-Sak and Thrifty liquor. Got to the senior party and met Robert and Layna there. We all talked awhile. Met Rob Horner there, Any Gavin, Amy Gavin, Gay Turner, and a few other Hamels people. Before the party really got crowded, Robert, Layna, me, and Laura went out to sit in the station wagon and drink some more but found that Frank and Bobby had a head start on us. We all sat out there and drank while Bobby told us his Aggie jokes. Daniel came out to the car to drink and as we all were going back into the Le Bossier he was downing a beer. Earlier, Marti and Bobby did a real neat country dance when only one other couple was dancing. The I-20 band played at the party and they were real good. It was crowded now and Laura and I were dancing when Joe and his girlfriend showed up. Laurie and Paul showed up, Paul slipped and fell while dancing on the dance floor. He was practically drunk and they (Jeter and Paul) were late because they almost got busted by the police - I'm not sure about the details, but that is what they said. As the night progressed, Paul and Daniel got pretty bad off. Paul couldn't even talk straight and threw up on the table inside. It was about 11:45 and the next thing we all know is that Paul, Laurie, and Daniel all left in Paul's car with Laurie Jeter driving. Paul must have met "ralph" 5 times that night. At Jeter's house, Jeter went in and Daniel drove Paul's car (with Paul in it) to Frank's house and waited for Frank to come home while Paul said "Hello Ralph!". Meanwhile, I was tired (I didn't drink anything but 7-up that night - faked out Laura) and Laura and I went out into the parking lot to find Frank and Marti in the station wagon. We told them that me, Laura, and Bobby were ready to leave. So we went back in and got Bobby and had left when Laura remembered she forgot her purse. We went back (we had not gone very far) and she ran in and got her purse. Frank dropped Laura and me off at my house, We went in and mixed some more Seagrems 7 and 7-up (it's 12:10) and drove Laura home about 2:00, got home about 2:15 but did not get to bed until 2:45. My hair was wild that night- it was warm outside. Food for thought: Never put a hickie on a tittie nipple.... Sunday March 14, 1982 Woke up, Frank came to church with us, came home, took a shower, Laua called- she wanted (and Jeter too) to go to Jeter's farm. "OK" I said and said I would call her back at 12:30 with the times. Picked up Tammy from Sunday school (mom and dad had gone to the farm) and got gas and got home at 12:40 and called Laura. Told her Frank couldn't make it because Marti was going to cut off his beard today and that he was going to work on his car, but Paul and Daniel would go. (I had called Paul at 12:00 and woke him up). Laura said she was ready now so I grabbed two apples and hit the road. Picked up Laura and then Laurie and we went to my house and got there at 1:15 just as Paul was pulling up into the driveway. We all talked a few minutes and then piled into my mom's car and headed for Jeter's Farm. It was warm again today. We got there and messed around outside most of the day. Laura and I wrestled in the grass in the back yard and kidded around. Paul shot his gun, the usual, etc. Later we went to Town South and got potato chips and cokes. Came back and ate, joked around some more, watched the sun go down until thje clouds got in the way, went in because of the misquitos. I had brought my trombone along because I was supposed to be at a concert at 2:00 but I did not go to it. The maid dropped by and told us to just go "on and have our fun". She was a real nice black lady. Then we watched a little TV, played hide-and-seek and then Laura and I went for a walk in the field under the stars while Paul, Daniel, and Jeter went their own way. We talked ahile (got her un-mad at me) and went in the backyard a while and talked there too. Then we all left and Laurie might be a little mad (over what?) and I dropped Laura off and then Laurie and then Daniel and then Paul to his car at my house. I got home at 9:07. Paul called his mom back and went home and I ate and watched TV and took a bath and then went to bed. Laura said she would call me tomorrow. Monday March 15, 1982 Checked in for a test 3rd hour. Lunch was good- ate three times. Came home from school, was going to mow the grass for the 1st time this year but messed around and read and fell asleep instead. Frank called and woke me up- his mom and found the beer he had hid at his house and he had to get rid of it so he brought it over (in his car! finally fixed) He fixed his front end finally but he still needs to put his headlights in. He is now beardless but looks OK. He brought the beer over and quickly left. I read some more and read until about 8:30 and then watched TV. Paul had called about 6:45 and wanted to see a movie but Frank did not want to go so we didn't go either. The movie ended at 10:00 and at 10:15 everyone had gone to bed. I waited for Laura to call and she finally called at 11:15 (I was about to give up!) She had just gotten back from her class- it ended late today it was about make-up. We talked until 11:35 and we agreed I would call her tomorrow. It was a short, general conversation. It was cloudy, warm today. Nothing much of interest happened today. Tuesday March 16, 1982 BAND BOOSTERS MEETING 7:30 Went to school, we started the SRA test which takes up peroiods 1-3. Came home and was sorting out records when Robert dropped by. We talked awhile, and then went to get a hamburger at Whataburger, and Robert told me about his idea of me, Robert, Laura, and Layna double daying to Six Flags in Dallas. From there we went to Robert's house and then Red River Valley Bank (have $377.00 left) and then back to my house. Mom had to work until 9:30 that night. At my house Joe came over and Robert and I bullshitted him about being Beatles. Robert left about 7:40 and I ate and read and watched a little TV and called Laura on grandma's phone at 8:15 and we talked until 9:45. Told her about Robert's idea and she liked it. She would ask her mom about it. Was a general, good conversation. She invited me over for tomorrow- I said yes if she would not pinch me (tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and I have no green to wear). After the call, I read some more and had trouble falling asleep because it is so hot outside. It was cloudy and humid and hot and sticky today. My allergies are acting up and the grass needs to be mowed. Wednesday March 17, 1982 ST. PATRICK'S DAY Went to school, came home and tried calling Robert (got Laura's house by accident) but he was outside. Took a nap and mom and dad went to the farm at 5:10. I got in touch with Robert (about Six Flags Saturday) and he said he would have to call me tomorrow to let me know for sure. I took a shower and was leaving for Laura's house when Ron pulled up. I left anyway and got a margaritta and got to Laura's house at 7:15. We went outside because it was warm, then we went in and watched TV. Joe was at band practive and her father was out and her mother left somewhere. I got another look at her pictures, and got in an argument over a not in her back pocket from Jeter. Her mom came home. We watched TV, Laura's nose is sore, we talked about Hamels, etc. I left at 9:40 and when I got home Ron was still there getting drunk on whiskey talking to Tammy. I read and mom and dad came home and Ron left. I made a frozen pizza, read. Frank got out of the hostpital today about 5:40 or so, some of Tammy's friends put some for sale signs in our yard about 11:20 that night. Was warm and hot and moist today. Sticky. Thursday March 18, 1982 Slept a little late (by accident) and got to school at 9:30. Got a B on my Animal Farm report. After school, it was sunny so I laid out in the backyard from 2:30 until 3:30. Went in and Dana Brocett called, general- she is thinking about working at Hamels again this year. Dad came home and I mowed the grass and took a shower. I read and read and Frank called- he made supervisor! Thank God.....now Chris Schaffer looks like a real dumbass. Called Laura on grandma's phone at 8:00 and talked until 9:00 and I switched phones and talked from 9:00 - 9:20. It was a general conversation, Captain Shreve only has 1/2 day of school tomorrow, we talked a little about the time Laura and I and Frank and Laurie all went to the Farm. After the phone call, was making eggs when Paul dropped by at 9:45. We talked and then went to Starks to get a milkshake. Frank was at Marti's house so he did not come along. Got home and read and finished The Gods Themselves until 12:20 and then went to bed. Laurie gets off at 5:30 tomorrow, Paul gets off and 6:00, and Frank and Marti will probably go to the Parkway Dance tomorrow. FOrgot: Robert called, we would go to Six Flags the 25th (a Saturday) of this month. Friday March 19, 1982 Went to school, got out at 12:30 to go home and prepare for the band contests. Got home from Airline High (band contests) about 4:00. Mom came home from the commissary a few minutes later and we went to the BX and picked out glasses for me. Before we left I had called Laura- would pickk her up at 7:00. Took a shower, Paul called and he would be down at 7:30. Picked up Laura (no one was home but her dad came home while I was there) and called Laurie from there because I heard she did not want to go out. So Laura and I called her to make sure she was not ill she still did not want to go out. So Laura and I went to my house (dad had still not come home from work) and drank beeer. Got boring (Tammy was at the Parkway Dance - Marti and Frank too) so the 3 of us took Paul's car and got some more beer and went driving around. Stopped at Vetern's Park and a cop came and made us pour it all out in front of him or we had the option of going to Jail and paying a $200 fine. He searched Paul's car and frisked us all. So we poured out 8 beers of Michelob (actually I did) and left and went to Pak-A-Sak and got some more. From there Paul called Laurie to make sure and she invited us over. We went to Laurie's house and talked a while and talked on top of her roof. Later Paul took Laura and I to my house. At my house Paul did not stay and Laura and I talked awhile and I drove Laura home at about 1:00 or so. Not sure. Almost got drunk but had a super time that night.
